Leaks, hard to tell when the nipple is open Jan 27, 2010 Leaving aside the issue of Sigg's multi-year deception of its customers about using BPA in its bottle lining, the design of the sport cap is atrocious. The only indication one has that the nipple is either open or closed is by close inspection with good backlighting to see if the nipple is above the cap or flush with it. The twist mechanism to open and close the nipple easily twists itself when put in a bag with lots of other items pressing on it, especially if the bottle is laid horizontally. I was quite happy to switch to Klean Kanteen and their sport top, even though I have to puff out my cheeks like a chipmunk to avoid the "bird whistle" effect. At least this sport top stays closed.

SIGG put BPA in bottles and lied to consumers - Google the SIGG BPA recall Nov 20, 2009 Now that I know SIGG knowingly lied to consumers (including me in an email exchange I had with the company) about BPA in their bottles, I would NEVER BUY A SIGG AGAIN. I purchased a SIGG for the same reasons I purchase organic food, I thought it was safer for my children. But SIGG betrayed that trust. The company DID put BPA in its liners and lied to all of us. In fact, I've contacted the firm Caddell & Chapman about the class action lawsuit. I bought a SIGG to be safe and they deceived and lied to make more money. Now all they will offer is to exchange my BPA bottle for a new one. Oh, ya, sure, I trust you now. Just give me a new bottle. I want my money back and I'll hope that my kids were not affected by the BPA you snuck into the bottle. What a bunch of jerks!

Difficult to use? Jan 03, 2009 I find this top a little difficult to use. You have to push in the top with your mouth or finger in order to drink...that is unless I'm doing it wrong. I'm pretty sure I'm not. In any case I think I am going to try the other top.. http://www.mysigg.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=346

Great top until you drop it. Dec 30, 2008 I bought two sigg bottles from wholefoods. I really loved the ABT sport top until I dropped them. Now it's stuck in the open position. So I will replace it with the other sport top, that doesn't have the fancy mechanism, which will hopefully be tougher and not break on impact.

A little tricky May 22, 2008 This is the top that came with my sigg sport bottle. For some reason, it just doesn't work well for me. You have to push in on the white part in order to drink, and that can be quite a pain when running on the treadmill. I am purchasing a regular sport top instead so that I can take big sips of water without having to press in with my mouth first.
