 I own these, but they are not the first I reach for. May 30, 2010
I have these for my kids. They look fun and do what they are supposed to do, but they are not my favorite water bottles. If your kids are rough with them or even if they drop them accidentally, these poor bottles will dent. My oldest would throw his in the air and it caused the cap to break off. I guess he shouldn't have been throwing it in the air. But, they are delicate! As a water bottle for younger children, I would not recommend it. They have to be able to twist the spout to be able to drink from the bottle. This does not make it toddler/parent-friendly or spill proof! As well, if you do not have the holders, the bottle is COLD to the touch when you have ice water inside! They are also not as easy to clean as other water bottles because the neck spout is so skinny. You have to use a special brush and they are not dishwasher-safe. I've tried to use baby bottle brushes, but I had to fight too much with the brush to get it into the bottle. So, I purchased the Sigg brush. As well, because of the narrow opening at the top of the bottle, I have to be more accurate when trying to fill these with water from my Brita water jug or from the refrigerator water dispenser. Not so good when I'm in a rush to get out the door.
My son loves his skulls bottle and my daughter loves her Hello Kitty. I only reach for these when my children specifically request them.

I have to tell you that my review will be little biased because I like SIGG product. Nothing is out of ordinary, but I have to tell you that I do not like the cap that it came with. it is hard to operate, bulky. would recommend regular traditional bottle cap.

I bought two of these Sigg bottles for my husband and me two years ago, when I was trying to get us some BPA-free bottles. Even though these are not supposed to have a metallic taste, we found that they did, and, after using these for a few months, I bought us Nalgene bottles instead, which we've been much happier with.

SIGG recently admitted that BPA is in their old liner, but not the "new" one. Really? BPA has been in there for years, but you never mentioned it until now? And, we are supposed to trust you on the new liner? Stay away from SIGG if you want a bottle without BPA.

I really like this bottle -- it's my second Sigg of this type.
Pretty simple, really, holds water and the sport top is convenient. No idea why it costs almost $20 . . . it lost one star from me for value.
Unlike most of the others in this market, this brand is not made in China. Because of so many reports of um, irregularities in product production there, we've decided to avoid any Chinese made products that are part of the ingestion process. So, no foods and no products used to serve food. Clothing is a concern as well since it's directly on skin. Until they get control of pollution in factory zones, we suggest others to think about that as well.
