I hate to see a good product trashed simply because someone didn't read Nov 28, 2008
By Q Okay, first, I do understand being disappointed in not getting what you expected. But, it clearly states in the product description "Note: The Sippy spout is not included with the adapter cap." IMO, it's a bit harsh to trash a good product simply because you misunderstood what you were buying. Plus, the sippy spouts themselves are readily available (no need to pay pricey shipping etc). They are Avent branded sippy spouts (both the 'regular' green one AND the sport spouts fit), available at Babies R Us, Target, Wal-Mart, many grocery stores, etc.
That said: these adapters work perfectly. Simple to screw on, no leakage whatsoever, and all of it (including the Avent spouts) are dishwasher safe. Once fully assembled (adapter/spout/etc) these bottles do not leak at all!

No Leaks! Jun 29, 2008
By Tricia L. Reed I am very happy with the Klean Kanteen spout adapter. There are no leak problems whatsoever. My little one loves it and I love that we can use a sippy that is not on a plastic bottle.
The only problem we've ever had is when the kanteen got lost!

Other Sippy Spouts fit this Aug 28, 2009
By NH Gardener I am using this adapter with a Nuby Gripper Sippy Cup replacement spout to make a sippy cup. Nuby Gripper Sippy Cup Replacement Spouts The Nuby spout is silicone (no grade info avail.) and is soft. The Nuby spout fits tight in the adapter and so far no leaks. Some liquid does pool in the valve though and can be harder to clean. Based on this spout being billed as "widemouth" and fitting into this adapter I surmise that other widemouth sippy spouts and/or nipples should fit too. The adapter and the spout fit well with the small Klean Kanteen bottle. The setup in general is still a bit too big/heavy for my 1+ year old child - we have to help hold the bottle. We usually only fill the bottle up half way to help with this issue. The Nuby packaging does not state the grade of the silicone - I wish they would. Food grade silicone is a synthetic rubber which contains bonded silicon (a natural element which is very abundant in sand and rock) and oxygen. With BPA and Pthalates a concern in plastics I feel this is a good alternative sippy spout.

Great but fragile Mar 24, 2011

We are really trying to be green with our son. I bought all the stuff to use the Kleen Kanteens as sippy cups- really expensive. The first time we used the adapter my son tossed it off his tray and the adapter broke. Now I need to buy another one ($6.95) or just go the regular plastic cups ($3.95). It's a good idea in theory, but it needs to stand up to some abuse from a kid.

It is a nice convenience to have a sippy adaptor for the klean kanteen, it makes it much easier for young children to drink from than just the opening.
