Environmentally Correct, comparison to Chico Bags (R) Aug 03, 2008
By Elizabeth Bennett
"Namaste"
OK, this review comes from Seattle, the city which just voted to tax those annoying and ubiquitous plastic shopping bags that are an eyesore and an environmental hazard. Last year, I bought 5 Chico Bags (another brand name) so that I would have a small bag or two always with me or in the car. With me, that means the two in my day pack (I either ride my scooter or take the bus to and from work) or in the car (we have a little xB for when we have to drive somewhere). The Chico Bags were the best idea for re-usable bags until I saw these Envirosax. Nothing wrong with the Chico product at all, but wow:
The Envirosax have take functionality and space to a whole new level. The Chico bags have a little pouch on them and can be stuffed into this little pouch and a small caribiner is attached so you can hang the bag on your daypack or really anything else when it isn't being used. Going through the checkout with the Chico bags in their little ball formation is not a good idea, it takes a while to get them undone and open. By that time, the bagger has usually gotten the plastic bags out and the groceries rolling in. However, the Envirosax has a built in snap arrangement like on your umbrella, which you secure after rolling up this bag. Undo the snap, flick the bag and it's open and ready instantly. Impressive. Then the capacity of this Envirosax bag, is (to my best quick visual guess) at least half again as large as the Chico. Of course the extra capacity will also mean extra weight, however the Envirosax has a bit wider handle set, and it feels more substantial compared to the Chico.
As far as visual aesthetics, the color and print choices of the Envirosax is head and shoulders above the solid color availability of the Chico brand. Additionally, there are organic hemp and linen choices available at the Envirosax website. Hint: browse there, but shop at Amazon for a price difference of only a nickel but you get your better shipping choices here.
So, I'll use my Chico bags but they are happily supplemented (and eventually supplanted) by these refreshing and lively choices from Envirosax.
The sets of five available from Envirosax will be appearing at a lot of family birthdays this year!

Love, love, *love* these bags Mar 09, 2009
By Anonymous And so do the baggers at the grocery store. Lightweight and strong, large capacity, and immensely portable (I keep one in my backpack at all times). Machine-washable, line dry....I simply love these bags.

These amazing bags can handle the heaviest can goods and vegetables and yet roll up to the size of a Kiwi....quite impressive! My only issue was that the colors/prints were a little different than I expected from the pics online, but that is to be somewhat expected with on-line shopping. Overall a great product.

Best Bags EVER!!! Jul 08, 2009

I bought these 5 bags and not only do they have cheerful, happy colors but the quality and strenght of these bags is unrivaled. Since there are 5, I keep one in my purse, two in my car, one in my husbands car and one at home. I've even used them at Costco! We can easily pack 6 bottles of wine in ONE bag! And the best thing is even when the bag is really heavy it doesn't hurt my hands like normal plastic grocery bags do. I would highly recommend EnviroSax to anyone! (I actually gave one of my bags to my sis-in-law and she loves it too!)

Envirosax Jan 18, 2009
By Adair Montgomery Fantastic product! Carry at least one around in my purse at all times for use at grocery and other stores. Folds up compactly, light-weight, but holds a lot in terms of both volume and weight. I used an Envirosac at the book store - carried very heavy load with ease! A "win-win" product for you and the environment.Envirosax Flora Pouch
